Silver Arrows in 2026/2027 - Beverley Evans

Beverley Evans is a member of the Manawatu Archery Club and began her archery journey ten years ago after being inspired to join her son, who was already competing in the sport. She initially competed as a left-handed recurve archer before later transitioning to shooting right-handed in the compound division.

In 2023, Beverley represented New Zealand for the first time on the international stage at the World Archery Oceania Championships in Adelaide, Australia, where she achieved two bronze medals in Target and Team Matchplay events. As of January 2026, she holds the number one national ranking in New Zealand for Open Women’s Compound.

A highly accomplished athlete, Beverley has been crowned New Zealand Champion of Champions on four occasions - two times as a Master (2018, 2021) and twice as an Open Women’s archer (2023, 2024). She currently holds 15 New Zealand national records across the Open and Master Female Compound categories, in addition to three New Zealand Field Archery Association records.

Beverley’s long-term ambition is to return to the world stage, competing at World Cups and ultimately the 2028 Olympic Games following the inclusion of Compound Archery. To achieve this, she is focused on progressing through key international competitions, including the Oceania Championships, Asia Cups, Pan-Pacific Games, and World Cups, as part of her pathway toward Olympic qualification.
