
Hector McNeilly is a New Zealand-based international compound archer who has developed through the sport over the past several years, progressing from local competitions to competing regularly on the world stage. His archery journey has been shaped by a strong passion for performance, consistency, and learning from each opportunity to compete. He has taken part in multiple Hyundai Archery World Cup events and World Archery Indoor Series competitions, gaining valuable experience against the best archers in the world.
Hector has proudly represented New Zealand at two Youth World Championships, finishing 5th in 2023 and earning a silver medal in 2025. These events were defining moments in his early career, reinforcing his belief in long-term development and performing under pressure. Throughout his international career, he has been inspired by elite athletes, coaches, and teammates who continually raise the standard of the sport and demonstrate what is possible through discipline and dedication.
International competition has also allowed Hector to build strong friendships with archers from around the world, creating a supportive and motivating community beyond national borders.
