RamRods Ultra 3 Stabilizer

The Ultra line of stabilizers is a best seller for a good reason. The choice of Olympic and World Champions, Ultra Stabilizer offers a stiff, light-weight, wind-efficient shooting experience for archers using up to moderate end weight. An evolution of the original 0.500” stabilizer, the small cross-sectional area minimizes the effect of crosswinds when shooting outdoors, and the low mass of the carbon layup lets archers concentrate all of their weight on the distal end, maximizing the rod’s leverage and stability while aiming.

Ultra 3 stabilizers come standard filled with proprietary VIBRO-Core internal damping material, dramatically reducing post-shot vibration. Additionally, the Steve Wijler Edition Tungsten Damping option includes 3oz of tungsten powder added into the distal end of the rod, doubling as a dual-density vibration damper and internal weight, further cutting down wind drag by reducing the number of weights on your rod!

*Buyer’s Note: RamRods stabilizers are sold individually. A typical Olympic Recurve set includes one front rod (+27") and two side rods (12-15") attached with a V-Bar. The Ultra 3 stabilizers can be used by just about all archers but are most commonly preferred by recurve archers looking for a high performing, small-diameter stabilizer to be used in windy conditions. Compound shooters using less weight may also find the Ultras a great option. As a rough guide, Ultra 3 stabilizers comfortably hold up to 11 oz on the front rod. Side rods can comfortably hold approximately double the mass weight for similar reactions.
